Hello Fellow Cartooners!!!!

Whew! The responses that you guys have been posting are awesome, and I really appreciate the kind words you have written.

Chante from MD wrote that my V is for Valentine Cartoon is a wonderful Valentines Day gift idea. Thanks for bringing that up! A sketch like this is great for making your own greeting card. When you create a card for someone in your family or one of your friends, it says that you must really care about them because you took time to make one rather than buy one at the store.

Speaking of creating your own greeting cards from your cartoon drawings, that is just what Savanna from FL said about the S is for Santa Claus Cartoon. This cartoon all started with the letter S that I turned into Santa. This is called a Doodle Trick. Cartooning with numbers and letters is a blast!!!! The key is to build on what that number or letter presents to you in the way of possibilities. For example, the bottom part of the letter S worked great for Santa’s nose, while the top part worked nicely for his eyebrow. Coming up with different ideas for the same letter is the way to develop your “Cartoonist” eye!!
